Harbert Realty Announces a New Development for Lemak Health on Cahaba River Road in Birmingham, Alabama

Birmingham, AL – July 16, 2015 – Harbert Realty Services, Inc. (HRS) of Birmingham closed on land located near the intersection of Highway 280 and Cahaba River Road adjacent to the new Trinity Hospital in unincorporated Jefferson County and has been engaged to develop a 20,000 square foot +/- medical office building on the site.  It will add approximately 25 jobs and will be a relocation site for the current Lemak Health clinic on Montclair Road.  Stay tuned for details on the groundbreaking ceremony which will be held later this year.

Lemak Health, Drayer Physical Therapy Institute and Sonos Imaging will occupy space at the facility.  Additional space is available for clinics who have interest in the area.

This will be the ninth clinic in the Birmingham and surrounding area for Lemak Health.  Lemak Health Chairman, Dr. Lawrence Lemak, stated, “We are excited to relocate our Montclair location and make it more convenient and accessible to our patients. In addition this new facility will allow us to offer more services and more efficient care for our patients.”

Drayer Physical Therapy Institute is a well-known name around Birmingham and surrounding cities. Drayer Physical Therapy Institute®, LLC (DPTI), a Hummelstown, Pennsylvania based company, is a leading owner and operator of outpatient physical therapy clinics in the United States. Founded in 2002 with a single physical therapy center in Bel Air, Maryland, the company quickly grew to deliver physical therapy services through their expanding network of more than 100 clinics across 14 states.  This will be the twelfth clinic for Drayer in the Birmingham-Tuscaloosa area.

Sonos Imaging will offer state of the art MRI testing diagnostics with a different patient experience unlike anywhere else in the city. With individual patient suites, and daylight and natural light throughout the imaging center, Sonos Imaging will offer the most comfortable environment possible for any patient.

Joining HRS in the development will be The Lemak Group of Companies, Inc., Owner, Brasfield & Gorrie as the General Contractor and Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood, Inc. as the Architect of the development.  The three companies have worked together on other projects including a medical office building in Prattville, Alabama that opened in May of this year.
