Alabama Futures Fund Moves into 2nd Floor Space at One721 Building Along 3rd Avenue North

Alabama Futures Fund has now moved into One721, a historic redevelopment building that was purchased by Harbert Realty Services and a JV partner. Located at 1721 3rd Avenue North, this historic redevelopment is being branded as the One721 Building. Casey Howard and Charlie Norton with Harbert Realty are handling leasing of the remaining ±9,000 SF available. Stewart Perry (General Contractor), Robertson Bank (Financing), and Black Design Architecture (Architect) were key members in the redevelopment.

The ±14,000 square foot building, which was originally the Seals piano store, has been completely renovated with modern finishes and a unique design. Alabama Futures Fund– a seed-stage venture capital fund focused on supporting and growing entrepreneurial activity and economic development in Alabama– now occupies space on the second floor.

The historic qualities of One721 include brick and beam design. Features such as hardwood floors, beadboard ceilings, dramatic 12-foot (1st floor) and 15-foot (2nd floor) ceilings, and second floor skylights have been retained and restored. The property also features a new vaulted lobby and all new building systems.
