Charlie Norton, Broker at HRS Earns Professional Designation of CPM®

BIRMINGHAM, October 21, 2015Charlie Norton, Leasing and Brokerage Associate at Harbert Realty Services, Inc. (HRS) has earned the Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®), an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors®. The CPM® designation is awarded to real estate managers who have met the Institute’s stringent requirements in the areas of professional education, examination and experience and has been cited in independent studies as the most important designation to consider in the hiring process. CPM® Members must also abide by a rigorous IREM® Code of Professional Ethics that is strictly enforced by the Institute.

Charlie Norton has been in the Commercial Real Estate profession for over seven years. As a Leasing and Brokerage Associate at HRS, Mr. Norton brings value to Tenants, Landlords, Purchasers and Sellers. Mr. Norton’s experience includes tenant representation for office users, retail and industrial landlord representation, leasing, land sales, multi-family leasing and property management. Before joining HRS, Mr. Norton spent four years with Colonial Properties Trust in their Multi-Family Division. His roles ranged from intern to property manager with his last responsibility being property manager of a 300 unit multi-family development. With a major in Finance and concentration in Real Estate, Mr. Norton received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Alabama in 2008. Mr. Norton is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and is currently on the board. He is also a member of NAIOP. Mr. Norton is a member of Canterbury United Methodist Church.
