Harbert Realty Services Executive Vice President West Harris represented Valley National Bank in their downtown Birmingham relocation and the sale of their Highway 280 headquarters. Valley National Bank’s Commercial Loan Officers relocated to the SAKS Building, located at corner of 1st Ave North and 19th Street North. The relocation was driven by an interest in being more accessible to clients as well as having new modern office space for customers and staff. Valley National Bank’s 25,235 square foot former corporate headquarters building was purchased by J&M Transportation. J&M is expanding and plans use the building for their new corporate headquarters just as Valley did. Blake Crowe with Southpace Properties represented J&M in the building acquisition.

“Harbert Realty Services was pleased to assist Valley National Bank devise and execute a business plan that timed the relocation of the bank’s executive teams downtown with the disposition of their 280 building to J&M,” stated Harris.

Valley National Bank’s retail division retained offices and a branch on 280 at Meadow Brook Corporate Park to continue to serve clients in the area.
