Harbert Retail’s Casey Howard represented Guthrie’s in a new lease deal for the former 3,900 square foot Steak N’ Shake located at 1817 Montgomery Hwy in Hoover, Alabama. Guthrie’s is a fast-casual restaurant chain renowned for pioneering the chicken finger-only concept. Founded in 1965 by Hal Guthrie in Haleyville, Alabama, the restaurant initially offered a full Southern menu. In 1978, it shifted focus exclusively to chicken fingers, complemented by signature sauce, French fries, coleslaw, and Texas toast. This transition established Guthrie’s as the first restaurant to center its menu solely around chicken fingers.
Guthrie’s operates 48 locations across the country, including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia. The company has been actively expanding, with plans to open additional restaurants in various regions.
The new Hoover location is positioned with prime visibility along the high traffic retail corridor on US 31 with nearby retailers including the Riverchase Galleria, Taco Bell, PetSmart, Newk’s Eatery, Walgreens, Michael’s, Chipotle, Five Below, Whataburger, Ulta Beauty, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, CAVA, Wendy’s, the new Trader Joe’s and so much more.
