Harbert Retail’s Casey Howard represented Capella Italian in a deal bringing the restaurant group their first location in the state of Alabama, a 4,860sf space located at Inverness Village Center on Highway 280 in Birmingham, near Starbuck’s and Fresh Market. Capella is a family-owned and inspired Italian restaurant group that specializes in authentic custom wood-fired pizza from Italy.

Capella’s menu is simple—nine signature pizzas, salads, Italian wines, international bottled beers, and desserts. Pizzas cook at 800 degrees in specially designed ovens imported from Italy. Every pie is ready less than two minutes after it goes in the oven,” said Mehmet Ozbey, owner of Capella. “Capella’s cheese, flour, extra virgin olive oil, and truffle oil are all imported from Italy, as are its Citterio pepperoni and sopressata. The sausage is made by an Italian family who lives north of Milan. Capella takes pride in using San Marzano tomatoes in its sauce and all natural ingredients in its recipes.
