Harbert Retail’s Casey Howard represented Capella Pizzeria in a deal that will bring the restaurant to Homestead Village shopping center at 2000 Gadsden Highway, Trussville, Alabama. They will occupy the former 3,000 SF Ironstone Pizza space. Nearby retailers include Petco, Five Below, Panera Bread and more. This will be Capella’s second location in the Birmingham metro. Howard also represented Capella in their first Alabama location at Inverness Village Center on Highway 280.
Capella is a family-owned and inspired Italian restaurant group that specializes in authentic custom wood-fired pizza from Italy. “At Capella, we honor the rituals of Italy and create more than your everyday, ordinary pizza. We bring to your table a flavorful journey to the cultural experience of true Neapolitan pizza and cuisine. Capella’s menu is simple—nine signature pizzas, salads, Italian wines, international bottled beers, and desserts. Pizzas cook at 800 degrees in specially designed ovens imported from Italy. Every pie is ready less than two minutes after it goes in the oven,” said Mehmet Ozbey, owner of Capella. “Capella’s cheese, flour, extra virgin olive oil, and truffle oil are all imported from Italy, as are its Citterio pepperoni and sopressata. The sausage is made by an Italian family who lives north of Milan. Capella takes pride in using San Marzano tomatoes in its sauce and all natural ingredients in its recipes. Capella will feel like a little corner of Italy. The pizzerias feature long community style tables, Italian music and European soccer on TV. We promise to bring to your table authentic Italian pizza and you’ll enjoy every piece of it!”
