Harbert Realty Services Teams with Four Star Holdings on a Mixed-use Development, Legacy Springs in Odenville, Alabama

Harbert Realty Services has teamed with Four Star Holdings on Legacy Springs, a mixed-use development in Odenville, Alabama that will include a new grocery store, additional retail space and, soon to come, a 220-unit multifamily component.  The project is located off Exit 154, along Interstate 59.

Construction is already underway on the project, which is the latest in a long list of industrial, retail and residential economic development for St. Clair County, which has been ranked the third fastest growing county in Alabama.

“It will be a couple of years process, but it’s a pretty big development,” said James Proctor, leasing and brokerage associate with Harbert Realty Services.  Proctor said the development is already attracting potential tenants in the retail and restaurant sectors.

Albertville-based Mitchell Grocery Corp. will anchor a 42,000 square foot shopping center.  This will be the grocery store chain’s first store in 10 years.  Mitchell is known for its Foodland and Food Giant chains across Alabama.  The grocery store will contain a deli, bakery and pharmacy that will serve primarily the Odenville, Springville and Margaret communities.  Plans are for construction to begin during the first quarter of 2015 with a projected opening date of July 1, 2015.

There will additionally be a multifamily project, an Exxon service station, a doctor’s office, a dentist office and an eye doctor, as well as around 150,000 additional square feet of retail that will be built in increments over the next several years.
