“Prosper is excited to partner with gener8tor to locate and operate our Health Tech Accelerator out of space at One721 allowing the mission to spread from the heart of Birmingham throughout Jefferson County,” stated the Prosper representative. “The prime location at One721 positions Prosper to serve as a strategic conduit between corporations and nonprofits, HealthTech startups and seasoned businesses, civic and social entities, and organizations and individuals all towards the goal of a more vibrant and inclusive economy.”
Prosper will occupy 2,958 square feet of space at the building. Harbert Realty’s Casey Howard and Charlie Norton represented the landlord in the transaction. Meredith Calhoun with Tessa Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant.
Built in 1911, the ±14,000 square foot One721 was originally the Seals piano store, and has been completely renovated with modern finishes and a unique design.
The historic qualities of One721 include brick and beam design. Features such as hardwood floors, beadboard ceilings, dramatic ceiling heights, and second floor skylights have been retained and restored. The property also features a new vaulted lobby and all new building systems.
