Birmingham, AL – November 20, 2017 – A redeveloped building in downtown Birmingham is continuing to see more activity.
The historic former Massey Business College building at 2024 Third Ave. N. has landed a new tenant.
Casey Howard of Harbert Realty Services represented the landlord, JLR LLC, in a deal to bring Finley Enterprises to the building. The company will occupy 7,988 square feet on the ground floor and mezzanine level of the three-story building.
As previously reported, the third floor of the building opened in March with flex office spaces. Howard said the third floor is now 100 percent leased.
“Both our client and our Harbert team have been extremely pleased with the quick lease-up of this building. The layouts, interior finishes, and services included for tenants in this property are meeting a big need in the downtown CBD market,” Howard said. “Everyone from the large company in need of a satellite office, to a single business owner looking for a beautifully built -out modern, professional, office space, finds these spaces attractive. And we are thrilled to have our newest tenant, Finley Enterprises, relocate to our building from the Financial Center, as they grow their business with us.”
Information from Harbert said that the Finley Enterprises space will be built out by the landlord and ready for move-in in the second quarter of 2018.
Additionally, Howard said the second floor ExecuSuites space with 23 individual offices will be complete Dec. 1 and still has a few spaces available.
The ExecuSuites spaces in the renovated building include features like exposed-brick and solid glass walls, and original 16-foot ceilings with exposed ductwork. Desks, access to copying services, internet, telephone, utilities and cleaning services, access to common spaces and conference rooms are all available for tenants.
The building is another example of flex space or co-working space and the larger role those concepts are beginning to play in Birmingham’s business world.
